New for 2021 – Sunday 11th July, a one day Writing Retreat -‘The Language of Hope‘ – 10am to 4.30pm.
After a year of Covid during which time many were denied access to countryside and nature, this one day course offers writers an opportunity to reconnoitre hope through the written word. In the stunning setting of Hare Hill Barn near High Newton, Cumbria, participants are encouraged to use the woods, wildflower meadows, ponds and fields to find new ways of expressing their connection to the world. With its emphasis on hope as an essential human need, the day will include some of our most inspiring poets and writers as well as prompts for personal writing
Whether you decide to explore this private estate to find inspiration or just sit in the tranquil barn with its stunning views south towards Morecambe Bay, this one day retreat provides space for writers to navigate language as an essential tool for the communication of hope.
Lunch is included – all Covid safe food handling – as well as a selection of teas, coffees and home baking throughout the day. The cost is £45 per person. Book here: firstname.lastname@example.org
